13mm Closed Cell Polyethylene Foam Backer Rod

A 13mm grey or white polyethylene foam backing rod for the construction and glazing industry. Generally used prior to sealing with silicone sealant in joints to reduce the gap size and create the optimum seal, preventing the sealant joint from failing.

The joint backer rod is extremely flexible and versatile and can be squeezed into a gap approximately half the thickness of the rod itself.
