10mm Closed Cell Polyethylene Foam Backer Rod
A 10mm grey or white polyethylene foam backing rod, used throughout the construction and glazing industry as a backstop before the use of sealants.
Foam backing rod not only helps reduce the amount of sealant used but it also avoids the 'three sided adhesion' and prevents the joint from failing.
The polythene rod is extremely flexible and versatile and can be squeezed into a gap approximately half the thickness of the rod itself.
