Siderise Cavity Barriers
Siderise Fire and Acoustic Cavity Barriers
Siderise RH/RV cavity barrier systems are the top choice for high-performance "Rainscreen Cladding Cavity Barrier" applications. Designed for use in the external fabric of buildings, these barriers ensure efficient drainage and airflow while providing robust hot smoke and fire sealing capabilities.
IFC Certified (IFCC 1712), these barriers allow continuous ventilation and drainage behind rainscreen envelopes. They have been rigorously tested to ASFP TGD19 standards, utilizing BS EN 1363-1 and principles of BS EN 1366-4, ensuring up to 120 minutes of fire integrity. Suitable for horizontal (open void) applications, all horizontal cavity barriers are color-coded for easy identification.
Siderise RH "Open State" horizontal cavity barriers feature a continuous bonded intumescent strip, enclosed in a weather-resistant polymer film. In case of fire exposure, the strip expands, fully sealing the ventilation gap between the barrier and the cladding rear, as recommended by CWCT and NHBC guidance for air gaps up to 50mm.
On the other hand, Siderise RV vertical cavity barriers are utilized to fill the void between the external envelope and internal structure, offering excellent resistance to smoke and fire passage. These barriers are third-party approved (Certifire CF 6028 & IFC IFCC 1712), providing up to EI 120 minutes of fire integrity/insulation. Tested to EN 1366-4 standards, they are suitable for vertical (full seal) applications.
The unique stonewool lamella core construction of Siderise RV vertical cavity barriers allows them to accommodate serviceability movement typically associated with rainscreen facades. These barriers are also third-party approved under Certifire CF 6028.
