Protecta FR Boards
Boards, or coated batts, are used to firestop larger openings (greater than 30mm wide) around both single and multiple service penetrations in compartment walls and floors. Made from high density stone wool boards which are sprayed with an ablative coating. The ablative coating releases moisture whilst the stone wool forms an ash like char in a fire, preventing the passage of fire and smoke.
