203 Accelerator and Frostproofer

Accelerator & Frostproofer is a liquid additive formulated to accelerate setting and hardening times of mortar, concretes, screeds and rendering to provide frost protection during the setting period. Effective even in sub-zero temperatures and can also be used in normal temperatures where a rapid set is required and as a plugging admixture.

Product Description

EVERBUILD ACCELERATOR AND FROSTPROOFER is a chloride free liquid admixture for set acceleration and rapid hardening of cement based mortar, concrete, screeding and render. Also provides frost protection in the wet mortar during the setting period; even in sub-zero temperatures (down to –8°C).  May also be used neat with cement as a plugging aid. Accelerator and Frostproofer is non-corrosive to metals so may be used with brick ties. Conforms to EN934-2 Table 7.

 Limitations

  • Do not overdose.
  • Do not use weak mixes during cold weather.
  • Do not mix with other additives in same gauging water.
  • Dispose of this product and packaging correctly. Do not allow to enter watercourses.
  • It is the user’s responsibility to determine suitability for use. If in doubt, please contact Technical Services Department for further advice.

 Application

 Work should be carried out in accordance with the methods outlined in the Code of Practice BS5628 Part 3 for protection and use of mortars at low temperatures. All materials used must be free from ice and the temperature of the mix prior to placing must not be less than 4°C.

AS AN ACCELERATOR: Add to gauging water at an addition rate of 2.5 to 5 litres per 50kg cement depending on the degree of acceleration required. Note: remember to reduce required quantity of water accordingly.

AS A FROSTPROOFER: Add to gauging water at an addition rate of use 2.5ltrs/50kg cement for protection down to –4°C and 5ltrs/50kg cement for protection down to –8°C, again, reducing required quantity of water accordingly.

AS A PLUGGING AID: Mix neat with fresh cement and place immediately.

Delivery Information - What does your delivery option mean?

All deliveries are subject to stock and availability.

UK Mainland

**Next Day Cut Off – subject to cleared payments and passing of payment security checks by 11am.

Orders processed after 11am using the next day service option cannot be guaranteed.

All UK Mainland orders qualify for FREE delivery* when you spend over £75.00 ex VAT.

Consignments will be delivered using FedEx or direct from the supplier if stock is not readily available within our warehouse.

Please note that orders placed on a Friday after 11AM for next day delivery will be dispatched on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Orders placed prior to a Bank Holiday will be delivered two days after the Bank Holiday.

Saturday Deliveries

Please note Saturday deliveries do not include orders that are made on Saturdays. Saturday orders should be made prior to Friday before 11am.

Pre 12 delivery services are available, however we ask that you contact us in advance of placing the order for our team to check stock and availability.

Damages

By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after goods are delivered, you must be report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.

Returns

If you need to return a product within 30 days, we are happy to refund the product provided it is returned, as sold, with all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories.

Prior to returning any goods for any reason, please contact us on 01484 411357 to inform us, of the reason for the return and to obtain a Returns Authorisation Name/Number.

Return goods should be sent to "The Returns Department, Dortech Direct, Unit 3 Fieldhouse Park, Old Fieldhouse Lane, Huddersfield, HD2 1FA" clearly quoting one of the following -  Account Number, Order Number or Return Authorisation Name/Number.

Any goods returned within 30 days as 'unwanted' or 'incorrectly ordered' may be subject to restocking fees.

For the avoidance of doubt all returned items will be inspected prior to any refund or replacement will be issued. Dortech Direct reserves the right to reject returns if the parcel is not in a suitable condition. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure unwanted returns reach our warehouse in a suitable condition.
