Tremco Illbruck SP030 is a transparent, fast-curing adhesive-sealant based on Tremco illbruck’s SP hybrid formulation. It cures rapidly to provide a flexible, crystal clear seal.

Usage/Purpose
The transparent properties of Illbruck SP030 make it ideal for use in the sealing/bonding of glass elements in a wide range of interior applications where a transparent bond is required.

Typical uses include bonding glass panes to aluminium or anodised frames (construction of display cases, retail units, glass lifts etc). This adhesive is compatible with metals and most materials used in construction work.

Limitations
• Not suitable for bonding polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon® or nylon.
• May cause discolouration along edges when used on stone.
• Not recommended for use on synthetic materials sensitive to stress cracking,
• Not suitable for constantly submerged joints. Discolouration could occur upon contact with construction materials that contain bitumen or tar. 
• Product may lose optical clarity under prolonged and/or frequent exposure to water.
• Colour cast (yellowing) may occur at elevated temperatures or long-term exposure to UV.

Application Instructions 

Necessary Tools
Standard 310ml cartridge skeleton gun and a sharp knife to cut nozzle.

Preparation
• Always carry out a test to confirm compatibility prior to use.
• Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry, dust-proof and degreased.
• Roughen non-porous surfaces.
• On materials such as glass, aluminium, ceramics, lacquered wood, PVC, epoxy and polyester no primer is required.

Application
• Cut off end of thread with a sharp knife, avoiding damage to the thread. Trim the nozzle to the required diameter.
• Ensure good contact between the joint surfaces before applying adhesive.
• Apply a bead of adhesive to one or both surfaces.
• For larger bond areas, spread the adhesive immediately using a notched spreader.
• Bring the two components together immediately and hold together for at least 5 minutes until sufficient bond strength has developed. Sufficient working strength will normally develop after 5 - 10 minutes. 

Cleaning 
Remove excess adhesive immediately with an industrial cleaner or acetone. 
Ensure surface is solvent resistant before cleaning.
Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

Damages

By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after the goods are delivered, you must report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.

Returns
