1. What is Soudal Silirub N used for?
Soudal Silirub N is a neutral cure building silicone used for window and door frame sealing, glazing joints, expansion joints, roofing seals and industrial sealing on metals, aluminium and construction materials. It is one of the most widely specified general purpose silicone sealants in the UK construction industry.

2. What is the difference between neutral cure and acetoxy silicone?
Neutral cure silicone releases alcohol during curing rather than acetic acid, making it safe for use on sensitive substrates such as natural stone, metals and coated surfaces where acetoxy silicone could cause staining or corrosion. Silirub N is a true non-corrosive silicone sealant.

3. Does Soudal Silirub N require a primer?
No. Silirub N is a primerless silicone sealant that bonds directly to most common construction substrates, saving time and material costs on site.

4. Is Silirub N suitable for high-movement joints?
Yes. The low modulus silicone formula accommodates significant joint movement while remaining permanently elastic, making it the professional choice for expansion joint sealing and perimeter applications.

5. Can Silirub N be used on all glass types?
Silirub N can be used in direct contact with all glass types — including standard, laminated, coated and toughened — except self-cleaning glass.

Damages

By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after the goods are delivered, you must report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.
