The VITCAS Vermiculite Fireproof Board is a durable, lightweight, and highly effective fire-resistant material, designed for use in indoor or covered applications where high-temperature insulation is crucial. Made from naturally occurring, non-toxic vermiculite, this aluminium-magnesium silicate board provides exceptional thermal insulation and can withstand temperatures up to 1100°C / 2010°F. It features an attractive brick pattern finish, making it a perfect choice for both functional and decorative applications in fireplaces, stoves, and heaters.

• Fireplaces and Stoves: Acts as a durable heat shield or a register plate above free-standing stoves, protecting walls and ceilings from high temperatures.
• Range Cookers & Boilers: Provides a thermal barrier for range cookers, boilers, and other heat-emitting appliances, improving safety and thermal management.
• Night Storage Heaters: Enhances the thermal efficiency of night storage heaters by providing a layer of insulation that retains heat longer.
• Vessels & Tanks: Can be used in the lining of vessels and tanks that are exposed to high temperatures, ensuring reliable insulation.
• Hobby Kilns: Suitable for use in hobby kilns to provide insulation and improve temperature control during firing processes.

Additionally, VITCAS Vermiculite Fireproof Boards can be utilised as:

• Replacement Firebricks: Can replace damaged firebricks inside a stove, offering long-lasting heat resistance and insulation.
• Heat Shields: Installed as heat shields in fireplaces, stoves, or against combustible materials for added protection.

Installation:

The Vermiculite Fireproof Board can be easily installed using common tools and accessories:

• Fixing to Walls: Can be affixed to walls by drilling and screwing, or by using VITCAS Heat Resistant Board Adhesive or HB60.
• Sealing: For sealing the edges and the flue pipe, use VITCAS Heat Resistant Silicone, ensuring a secure and heat-resistant seal.
• Surface Finishing: The board can be finished by spraying with VITCAS Heat Resistant Paint Spray for a protective and decorative coating, or sealed with PVA and tiled using VITCAS Heat Resistant Tile Adhesive.

All UK Mainland orders qualify for FREE when you spend £75 ex vat or more*. *Please note certain items do not qualify for free delivery. 

Consignments will be delivered using DPD, Evri, and Shipley, or direct from the supplier if stock is not readily available within our warehouse.

Large heavy items may be subject to pallet charges - you will be notified by our customer care team.

Damages

By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after the goods are delivered, you must report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.

Returns

If you wish to initiate a product return within 14 days, we gladly offer a refund as long as the item is returned in its original condition, including all packaging, tags, labels, and accessories. Kindly complete the provided return form and include it in the package you are sending back.

Please be aware that orders exceeding £100 excluding VAT are subject to a non-negotiable 40% restocking fee. This charge represents the administrative time and overheads to reprocess the stock.
