Wurth Bond and Seal Structural Adhesive - Black (300ml)
Elastic PU Adhesive and Sealant for Wide Applications
Key Features:
- Universal use with outstanding adhesive strength on various materials and surfaces.
- ISEGA certificate approval for use with foodstuffs, making it safe for bonding and sealing in food processing plants.
- Harmless to humans in its hardened state.
- Highly elastic, compensates for different material expansions, dampens vibrations and noise.
- Long skin formation time allows for bonding complex components and large surfaces.
- Joint parts can be repositioned and can be sanded and painted over after skin formation.
- Non-corrosive, preventing metal corrosion.
- Low-odour and silicone-free.
Proof of Performance:
- ISEGA: Can be used where food is processed or stored, e.g., for bonding wall and floor areas in food processing companies (Clearance certificate no.: 46567 U 18).
Notable Notices:
- Not suitable for glass groove sealing or adhesive bonding on other transparent materials with UV back reflection risk.
- Exposure to direct sunlight may result in slight surface yellowing and the development of cracks.
- Not suitable for expansion joints in construction applications.
- PVC-based paints and paints drying by oxidation are not suitable for painting over the adhesive.
- Contact with solvents or solvent residues should be avoided during processing and curing.
- Risk of blister formation in the adhesive compound with high surface moisture, wide adhesive bead application, and/or cavities/air pockets.
Application Area:
- Suitable for a variety of bonding and sealing tasks.
- Specifically approved for bonding and sealing in food processing plants.
- Ideal for the permanently elastic sealing of spot weld seams.
Instructions:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease.
- Refer to the optimisation table in the technical data sheet for pre-treatment.
- Cut off the threaded spout, attach the nozzle, and cut it to the required width.
- Apply the adhesive using a suitable application gun.
- Recommend a minimum adhesive layer thickness of 3 mm for optimal thick-coat bonding.
For detailed information, refer to the provided technical data sheet.
